Leaving the Cold

Today at 7:35am, in -20 degree weather, my parents and I left for a road trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama!  We made it 550 miles down the road in to southern Iowa, had some yummy pizza for supper, and are now settling in at our hotel to get some rest.

The gorgeous sunrise this morning helped make getting up early a little less painful. 

I am excited to see what this trip will hold for us, and am looking forward to getting out of the corn fields tomorrow and on to some better scenery ;)   Stay tuned!
